Nice timing

Just recovered from my fever and dirraoeah which I had yesterday.

I did literally soaked a towel in cold water and wrapped it around myself. It was really hell, and what more I turned on the shower head and had cold water running down on me.

But now my stomach feels damn bloated... dunno why also..

Anyway...holidays are ending way too soon enough, and I still have like 2 more AMOAs to complete before I get screwed real bad.


I intend to finish by today, but hmm..i dunno if i might procrastinate though.


Things seem kind of quiet now among us...

Make a stand

This is it. This is my last stand in terms of usage of the family computer. I want my DotA, and nobody's gonna stop me

I feel that since I am using Hamachi, I don't see how I could contract any form of problems, since I am keeping to a private LAN server.

Warcraft's RECOMMENDED requirements are 256MB of RAM, 55o HD Space, all of which fufills my computer's specifications, and also thanks to Charles who helped me inspect my computer.

I don't see any reason why I am NOT allowed to install just 1 game into my com, when other people have like 4-7 on theirs.

So anyway, this is my right, and all of you can go piss off to somewhere else. __

But now, since this is a new copy of Fronzen Throne, patching is gonna take a bloody long time

=.=


But never mind, all for the sake of DotA.

It's back

Haha...guess who's back in my life

if you say Sharon's back, I solemnly tell you, You are lagging in life, oh and speaking of which....my apologies for the formal welcome back!

WELCOME BACK SHARON...EVERYTHING's BEEN QUIET WITH YOU GONE...

and according to her, Genting really sucks big time...and so I will not go :D!


But what I am blogging about today......


It is that a favourite past time of mine has recently been ressurected in me, and now I am back into cravings for it.

That's right... HOTD 4!

Yep. Ever since the day I lost my Timezone Gold Card, which had $2 value inside, but $200 accumalated inside. I got so depressed that I decided to quit HOTD 4. Also, the fact that Darryl told me that the HOTD 4 machine in ZONE X Dhoby Ghaut XChange was removed from the arcade. These were the 2 events that caused me to lose my interest.

But a few days ago, I bought the $2 paper card and tried again. And I lost my touch on the Last Boss, the World Gamma, when he send out the dragon that moves in a circular pattern. I could not even reduce the health to 1/3, let alone kill it. That really demoralized me to the core.

Until today, when I decided to literally roam about, I ended up in PP again. And when I told the salesperson at the counter I wanted to straightaway buy the $20 powercard, he asked me what happened to my other card (The guy knew me quite well as he always helped me topped up while I was at Timezone Parkway)

I told him I lost it, with an extremely disappointed face, but he said that it will just cost $5 to replace my card, with the value, and value accumulated inside.

Apparently, all those with Gold Card membership have their details recorded inside the computer, how much you top up, how much value you accumalated and your card number.

I was really delighted when I got my good ol' card back. And Immeditately, I went to the HOTD 4 machine.

After watching some noobs get thrashed at level 2 (:P...yeah yeah, I was once a noob too. But hell yeah, I still can't resist a good laugh occasionally, But I know they will be more proer, once they watch me play. XD!!! I'm serious about this, coz I know I definetely got better while watching other pros play!)

And today people, was REALLY REALLY REALLY ....THE best session. (I'm talking about the first game I played.)

Today, was the day I made history, with one of the greatest comebacks ever since my recent stoppage of playing

I never expected to even get into the score list. When the first session ended, I walked away, only I saw that I could enter my score I was shocked to the max !!!!!!!


And TOP 5 SOMEMORE!!!....The screen flashed 6th - 10th, I din see my name

1st-5th, and lo and behold, there was I, Ben. With a score of 328,333. (seems a little lousy to me, wonder how I even made it there. And the 4th one was 500,000 +. So long way more.)

And I saw in 6th position was this guy called "DAR"

I wonder if it is Darryl :P!!!!!!!!!

hahaha.....

But my ultimate gold is to get 1st la. Beat this guy called "BCY" He is a guy with a short hair cut, he carries a bag pack, and wears gloves when he plays. He is a damn good player. Majority of the scoreboard belongs to him. i think 7/10 is all his name, and he even beat this guy called "Lou" who I suspect is the 40 year old+ Uncle......

Yeah, I am talking about THE HOTD 4 PRO UNCLE

Coz, in duel wield, BCY is not that proficient yet, he cannot really survive....

3 drivers.

Now that both of my siblings have their licenses, I, for once in my life agree with my dad on something: It is the fact that, he thinks far ahead and buys insurance for things like his children, his house, and more importantly now, his car.

Hmm come to think of it, currently Greg who was the first child in the family who got his license is using the car to his full advantage for purposes best known to himself, but at least now he does everyone a favour by fetching sis and mom occasionally to their destinations.

Of course, now there will be another topic of debate among the 3 of them, them being my dad, sis and bro. Of times of usage...paying of petrol costs...etc etc.

I still stand by the saying:"The driving license is an asset, but the car is a liability"

But who am I to comment? haha...I do not even have a license yet.

But the blo*** government plans to raise the age limit for obtaining a license from 18 to 21 due to those young bunch of mother******* who dash around immediately after they get their licenses. And next thing we know, we have a population crisis, the cause of which is that more people are losing their lives due to vehicle accidents, and having more babies ain't gonna help much and will increase burdens in other aspects of life.

So although the government does think of this possibility, I still think it's fu***** disadvantageous to people in my generation. They should ban all those drivers permanantly who got their licenses in less than a year, who cause accidents resulting in injuries or loss of lives.

Accidents and vehicles aside. I am almost reaching the final week of my holidays already. And as off this Saturday, I am to be in Taiwan visiting my maternal grandparents. I am not in Singapore and no teacher or fellow student ever saw me.

Speaking of which my dad wanted to bring me on a holiday, which I think its bloody pointless due to constraint of time, and his failure to inform me in time...zzz

I shall find ways of entertaining myself meanwhile...

ahh.....yes yes yes....CNC 3, Blockbusters in cinemas, Chatting...And more importantly, I wish to enjoy a meal at Aston's before school begins.

Command and Conquer 3

Seeing as now everyone of my friends are blogging about it, I guess I might as well too.

Lately this game has become "our" game ever since Darryl, Me and Roderick introduced it to every one.

A few days ago, The matchup was: Me, Terence and Roderick
vs
Oli, Furtado and Darryl.


Oli and Me: GDI
Roderick and Furtado: Scrin
Darryl and Terence: Nod


So each of us from 1 team chose different races. Anyway, just to fill you in a little

GDI (Global Defence Initiate) is the "good guy" in the game.

NOD: GDI's mainstream enemy. In the game, they are branded as the "bad guy" and terrorists

Scrin: A race of extraterrestrial nature, which later in the game becomes the enemy of the other 2 races.

The storyline is that : In 1995, a green crystal known as Tiberium appeared on the Earth's surface. Its nature was peculiar as when the green crystal came into contact with matter, it will turn it into more of itself, thus causing a widespread. Tiberium is harmful to the human body and causes poisoning. However, Tiberium is also a powerful catalyst and resource which can be also used for industrial purposes. GDI, the then protectors of the Earth, felt that they needed to contain the spread of Tiberium to prevent Earth from being infested with Tiberium which causes humans to lose their habitat. But another group, which later called themselves The Brotherhood of Nod saw Tiberium as the next generation resource for the future and began to study and use it without control. Contradiction in their beliefs and motivations led to war. And in that year, the first Tiberium War began with GDI forces battling on 2 fronts, one to contain the spread, and two, to prevent Nod from using Tiberium for their own purposes.

(I did not know how the 1st war end, my apologies)

Years later the second war followed, and it was then that Kane, the leader of the Brotherhood was somehow "killed" and believed to be dead. Since then on, the Brotherhood's actions became discreet, and Nod activity was from then on quiet, disorganized and uncoordinated

However, now in the year 2045, Nod activity began increasing in frequency and it was found that Kane was still alive, and has once again rallied the Brotherhood, to plunge the world into the Third Tiberium War, with all their arsenal of weapons new and improved to fight once again, to decide the future of this planet, and the use of Tiberium.

But then as the war goes on, a 3rd party becomes involved, one that is found to be not of this planet, begins to invade Earth. Their motives and agenda, are still unknown, only their race is to be identified as Scrin.

Currently, the world's landmass is classified into 3 categories.

The Red Zone, where spread of Tiberium have reached critical levels, leaves the land to be uninhabitable by humans, consists of 30% of the Earth's landmass.

The Yellow zone, where presence of Tiberium is partial, but still able to support life holds 50% of the Earth's land. The Yellow Zone is where The Brotherhood of Nod is believed to reside in.

The Blue Zone is the only remaining landmass that is not infested with Tiberium and is considered the last human city where humans can lead normal lives in, constitutes 20% of the Earth's land. The Blue Zone is also the main Headquaters for the GDI forces.





ok, i hoped you truly liked my explanation, but for the full details you can go play the game for yourself.

Anyway, today after I mugged like 4 hours at the Airport, I went to play with them again. Furtado had a personal agenda of vengeance as he wanted to rematch the last game where his team got totally owned by us.

History repeated itself again, as Me, Terence, Roderick and Marcus (Terence and Rod's friend) vs Oli, Darryl, Furt and Mark. Under Rod's leadership, he with his 55 Planetary Assault Carriers (he played Scrin) and I with my 75 Venoms (i was playing nod) owned them again.

But, special thanks must go to Terence, as he and I coordinated our superweapons. Each race has a superweapon that can cause immense damage, but needs 8 minutes to charge. So everytime there was an enemy building their's, we send ours to go destroy his superweapon building. (the building which houses the superweapon is extremely hardy. It takes 2 to destroy it fully, so coordination is of critical importance)


So in conclusion, we enjoyed another game. Now, I am starting to find Nod pretty interesting.

Hectic, rushing, topsy turvy, up and down.


So much for holidays now...

I really wished i could put aside all my duties for awhile and have a true long break. But time refuses to give me that little incentive which is why I can forget about doing what I really want to do.

Anyway, starting a new exercise regime for myself which involves running for 45 min every day. I really hope I can stick to this particular commitment, and it's not going to be easy to will myself to suffer everyday, especially when I am in a bad mood.. =.=

But either way, I still have to get my work done, so bye bye holidays in advance.

Legion Camp

This year's camp, I can safely say was one of the best in my 3 years as a legionary.

We had a few recent members whom we bonded very well with,through games, morning mass, sessions and meals together.

And once again...Adrian, Dylan, Mark and Nicholas, welcome to the family.

We really had fun throughout this camp, only one thing bad that happened was that, after morning mass on the last day of camp, we were supposed to have quiet time in church. Some of them went to Adoration Room, and they fell asleep.

I was a little angry, because this was disrespectful to the presence of the Blessed Sacrament inside but i just told them not to do it again. They were tired after only having 5 hours of sleep ( I had 3...) and I suppose, Jesus did say "Come to me all you who labour and are overburdened and I will give you rest.


Overall, everything turned out well, and I really hope to see more camps like this.


Right now, I have to concentrate on my piling holiday homework. 3 f****** AMOAs to do and like 30 pages worth of maths... Which I apparently bought the wrong book.

And time to start my new phyiscal regime.

But for now, lets try to catch a breather.

B'dae dinner at Pasir Ris Downtown East Suki Sakura Buffet

I can't believe I met Mrs Irwan (my last year Home Econs Teacher) at Parkway today...lol....I was just hanging out there stoning until 5 o'clock came.

I met Brother Edward and Dannel in school. After Bro Nick had finished we made our way to Pasir Ris to enjoy a buffet dinner.

I was convinced that the Suki Sushi Buffet was better there, than Parkway, as there was a larger variety and a bigger sitting space...

We enjoyed our meal very much, and I was in horror, when Bro Nicholas was laughing

I was in total shock and horror, coz that meant that the Principal of St Patrick's school would surely be there, and I with my dyed hair and all.....


Sure enough, there was pot-bellied Lucas Lak Pati Singh getting some food. Bro Nicholas went over and said hi.

When I greeted him, I got so bloody nervous I called him "Brother" instead of "Sir"

1)been in Ipoh and too many brothers...too used to using brother
2) I AM bloody nervous, like what f****** chance is there in the world you meet your bloody principal in the same place you are dining at...

Apparently, it was Mrs Lak's birthday and she decided of all bloody places to come here. Luckily, Mr Lak did not address me formally..he just said "I am going to stuff myself tonight"

lol.......

After a few desserts, we sang softly the b'dae song for Dannel, before we made our way off.

Oh and, I paid only $10 for the buffet, even though it costed $26. Thanks to Brother Edward
subsidy. :P

And happy birthday Dannel. (he'll kill me for revealing his age la.)

P.S: As confirmed by Bro Nick, it IS a sin to waste food.
