The Kop Come to Asia 2009

As many might have known, The Reds are hitting Singapore on the 26th of July, and it is practically the obligation of every Liverpool Fan to go buy tickets to see them live and kicking at our National Stadium as they go against our national team.

We all know who's gonna lose so I shall not say much. :X

Tickets are selling damn fast, and I am still trying to raise the $88 so i can squeeze in with many other fans...
sigh...

and ironically, today's APEL lesson talked about what would we do if we had $10 million...

go figure __

one way or another, i have to get one...

beg borrow steal...i don't care

Distant Worlds: Music from Final Fantasy

I just attended a fully sold out concert at the Esplenade today....

can i say...it was just THE BOMB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!!

The music of the great composer Nobuo Uematsu was just works of a genius...and what's more, he graced us with his presence during the concert. At the intro part of the programme, when the spotlight shown on him, there was an instant standing ovation and many shouts of rejoice...it was really a treat for everyone who were present...

The music..what can I say.....So many Final Fantasy songs inside...Some of the more memorable ones were "To Zanarkand", "Fisherman's Horizon", "Aerith's Theme". Just when i thought the concert was not to be completed after their 1st encore piece, Nobuo Uematsu-sama cheekily joined in the choir for the ultimate and epic piece: " One-Winged Angel" That piece made me and my friend's day. We were just simply awed at the wonder of the pieces and the melodious sounds that the Singapore Festival Orchestra managed to produce. They certainly did justice to his works.

After the concert, there was a dialogue session in which we could ask him questions. We all had to file out of the hall 1st, then enter it by another door...we somehow managed to jump queue, and we all seated for a short 15 min to listen to some of the answers Uematsu-sama replied to questions like "Are the music pieces you produce a reflection of your life?" "What are some projects you are working on?" etc etc...it was a dream come true for all Final Fantasy fans, to see the composer of the game's music so near a distance and personal.'

All I can say is that, Nobuo Uematsu-sama is definitely a great composer, together with the likes of Yoko Shimomura (Composer of Kingdom Hearts' music) and many of the other composers that have come to pass. And this was certainly one night to remember, as we watched how the fantasies of games we had, come alive this very day.

ieatishootipost on Channel U

After the b'dae celebration, (see previous post) I rushed all the way down to Zion Road, Siang Hee Restaurant where the crew people would be filming Leslie and some makankakis (me included) for a food show series that is to be released somewhere around the end of the year.

Managed to secure i think a few seconds interview (after editing and everything)...XD XD!!!! Feel pretty excited to see my face on TV for the 1st time.

anyways, more pics that i took.

Sze Ping's 17th Birthday/

I am just simply amazed at how strong our class spirit is. 4 weeks into school, and we already had an outing at Seoul Garden, a night cycling and now a birthday celebration for Sze Ping who turned 17 on the 22nd.

Most of us skipped lecture for RHT, and we met at the Sports Complex at around 12pm, waited for half an hour before the b'dae girl arrived. Song was sang, cake was cut (very visually pleasing cake btw) and all of us just sat around talking and eating. Me as the undeclared class cameraman of course, had to do his work 1st..:P
