Good Shepherd Sunday- Prayer for Vocations
Today we celebrated Good Shepherd Sunday Mass in Holy Family.
After servers meeting, a few others and I went to play pool at Katong Shopping Centre, even though I was not 16. :D
Basil and I took one table. He won 3 out of 4. I won the 1st, he won the remaining 3.
Because, at the second game, when I was about to hit the last ball(the black '8' ball) into a hole I specified(play call pocket) it did not go in, but went into ANOTHER hole...which resulted in an instant victory for the opponent...

During Mass...
On the outside, though the servers were very organized and all, this whole Mass was totally play-by-ear with no training and absolutely no pre-planning of assignment of duties, everything was done ON THE SPOT LITERALLY. His Grace Archbishop Nicholas Chia took us by surprise when he decided to pop into the vestry before mass with all the seminarians and servers inside, say hi and then slowly assemble his gold Crozier(His Staff)
All went well..thankfully..
Had a great dinner sponsered by His Grace...
Some servers went to the wake of Marcus and Gerald Chia's grandmother's wake.
I offer my condolences...
On another issue. In the homily given by His Grace, I just saw how little men entering the diocese every year.
Outside the main entrance of the church, I saw, various statements displayed on a poster that was from this book on how certain men became priests
According to the poster, our very own Father Aloysius was inspired by the Star Wars series and came to Singapore(he's from Malaysia f.y.i) and joined the diocese... ROCK ON!
Father Valerian Chong gave up his lavish life as a hotelier(dun really know what it is, but sounds freaking luxurious as it comes from the word hotel) and a BIG FAT PAYCHECK to join the diocese(something along the lines of the poster)
But one priest that really touched me, was the fact that he even gave up music. His 1st love, to join the priesthood.
If it was me, It would be a very big conflict of interest...
To quote the words from another poster: "If you will not spare your son for priesthood, then get down on your knees and start praying that others will"
I would hence say a prayer I learnt by heart from my daily Morning Prayers in school.
O Jesus our Good Shepherd, bless all our parishes with numerous religous Brothers and Sisters, examplary Christian families and lay missionaries who will live the Gospel with joy according to the needs of the entire world which You love and wish to save.
If you are calling any of us present here to serve You as a priest or Brother, make Your will clear to us and give us the courage to respond to Your call.
For Your greater glory and the good of Your people, hear and grant our prayer, Amen.

Road Rage... grr.......
I had a very unpleasant experience of road rage this afternoon
This post shall be to vent my anger, so please expect some vulgarities...or turn away and scroll down to the next part thank you.
I was on my way to Parkway, when at the junction of Still road (The junction before the Marine Parade Community Centre), there was a major traffic jam.
ok, before I move on, for those not familiar,
The road I was on(Marine Parade road) that was at the Still Road Junction, has 4 lanes. 1 lane at the extreme left to go to ECP, 2 lanes in the middle to go to Parkway, and one lane at the extreme right to go to East Coast Road.
I was on the middle lane, 3rd from the left.
There was a bus which broke down just in the front of the 4th lane just before it could turn into East Coast Road, so all those vehicles behind naturally had to move to the 3rd lane, which caused a jam.
While my cab was nearing the front, this Toyota lady driver who was at the 4th lane tried to cut in. She moved in abit and stopped, So we thought she was giving us way and we moved in ...abit then she moved again.....
Then suddenly when we wanted to move forward to go to the front of the lane, she chiong all the way and knocked into our front a bit and stopped in front of us. So now she was in front of us, 3rd lane.
I was absolutely disgusted by the kind of traffic behaviour she displayed to us. And adding fuel to the fire, she keep pointing her index finger to her brain, signalling to us we had no brains...I was fucking pissed with her...but I did not reach boiling point until the stupid bitch decided to wind down her car window and raise her right hand out of the window to point a conspicuous middle finger to us, which attracted stares from people at the pedestrian crossings.
In retaliation, I made sure she was looking at me directly through her mirror, I raised both my middle fingers at the bitch and I also made an offensive sign at her by clenching my left fist, and smacking my right hand on top of it. ( note that i did this inside the taxi, not outside)
I hate fucking bitches like this who make the mistake and don't have the guts to admit it but got the fucking guts to make offensive sings at us.
Why did I think she is in the wrong?
1st: when she wanted to switch lanes, she did not give her car signal which totally caught us off guard
2nd: Instead of letting us go forward, she cut in front of us, knocked the front of the taxi partially, and then started making offensive sings towards us, which all the more displays her character...I repeat, she was the one who started the hand sign abuse.
And you know what was the fucking best part??!!
When the traffic light turned green, just as she was about to turn right, she REVERSED her car almost into us and so we had to jam break to prevent accident, and then she sped off....
That totally angered me to no end, I wish during the time she was making the offensive signs I had a spanner in my hand and I would fucking get out of the taxi and demand her to come out and fucking make a scene.
Hopefully while she was happily pointing her middle finger I seriously hoped one kind soul beat the red light and the camera captured her as well, since she was in direct angle with the camera.
And note, this post does not show my hatred towards Lady Drivers. I think lady drivers may not drive so well, which may lead to a shake of the head by other people on the road... that is my comment. Note that I am not stereotyping any innocent parties here. But this act of road rage just proves the point all the more that not only do Lady Drivers SUCK IN DRIVING SKILLS BUT THEY ALSO LACK ROAD CURTOSEY
She was deliberately trying to cause an accident and not showing any form of curtosey to people on the same road.
As she turned right, I fervently prayed that she was not a member of my parish.
but people reading this, please note that 2 wrongs do not make a right. I was also in the wrong to make offensive signs, but I could not control my anger at that point of time.
But I was not going to let anyone ruin my day out.
Happiness is a way of choice. :D
I went to Parkway for my session of HOTD4 :D
I cannot believe I actually played 2 games
The first game...not that good
I used 3 credits to finish it.

I took a break and went down to get some snacks and a drink, and then half an hour later I met Charles, Royston and Dannel, who were shopping in Popular.
We then went to Pastamania for dinner and then since they had time we went to Timezone for awhile.
I played HOTD 4 again, (the 3 of them left for Youth Mass in OLPS) in a more relaxed manner, like:"Ok la, this game just play for fun, not serious..."
I did not aim for the heads of the zombies just anyhow shoot only...but i made sure i got the secret lives, grenades and bonuses.
and I used only 2 credits to finish the game, and my score was BETTER!

And there was a nice crowd gathering around me from the 3rd stage onwards...
AND I ONLY USED ONE CREDIT FOR STAGE 6!!!
AND I DID NOT LOSE A LIFE IN THE WORLD BETA AND GAMMA!
ROCK ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(grr...stupid little laserblade throwers, you are so bloody small and you teleport away just before my bullet reaches you. If it was not for you guys stage 6 would be so much easier. But then again it IS the last stage, so must have some form of difficulty, even though it pisses people off)
Although I did well but I seriously miss playing with my friends though....sigh...
Tomorrow can't meet up with them cause got server's meeting, and then training for Good Shepherd Sunday mass because Archie just wants to come to our church for reasons best known to himself...Maybe he has developed a personal liking to our church perhaps...HAHA!
ah well, I AM proud of my church...I still think its better than any other churches I have seen, unless you count the Vatican of course, the Sistine Chapel is just a building of pure magnificence and art(note, not as if I been there, saw it once in Catholic News)
I am looking forward to the Lasallian Encounter Trip in Ipoh this 23rd May...
ok, thats all I have to say, and I am not angry anymore........

and oh btw, the taxi driver took down her car plate number just in case
