Buzzing Cashier
side note: Finally com's up. got rid of the stupid decade old one, and i can say that my house is moving on to the 21 st century, as it should rightly have 10 years ago.
Anyways, invited the usual group of us to go food tasting at Buzzing Cashier. (in hanyu pinyin, Qiang3 Tan1 Da4 Xing2 Dong4) Its the one where hosts Kym Ng and Quan Yi Feng source out hawkers in Singapore who are not doing so well and they hire chefs (not some lousy young upstarts, but those of the real deal. Think Sam Leong standards) to improve the recipes of their respective dishes so they can do better.
In one segment of the show, 30 guests (ala, us) are invited to taste the food to see if it is good enough to satisfy our tastebuds, and afterwhich we would place the bowl/plate either on top of the table (to show our approval) or to a pail (dislike)
carrot cake was not bad, since it was handmade.
will post more photos when photobucket resumes to normal
