To see your smile...

From the MRT, we walked on to the bus interchange, with her trying to guess what was I going to give her. She guesses the answer initially, but I do not tell her it is.

We stopped at the interchange. Opening my bag, I handed her a wrapped package which was fairly large in size. "Is it a PSP?" she asks in disbelief. The grin on my face widens a little. Opening the package carefully, she takes out a PSP, Champagne Gold in colour.

Her face in shock, which turned into smile, her hugs, her going high, jumping around and little screams and exclamations, were all I needed to feel and see. The warmth that filled my heart, the smile on my face, could never ever be replaced with a PSP and PS3 combined...

She just could not stop hugging me, telling me I was God-sent, which really touched me deeply. I just loved to see her smile and be happy

And to me perhaps, In her eyes, I found the greatest prize of my life this year.

Though it is my birthday, my wish was to share this joy with someone. With the help of God, I managed to win her long desired gift, and so my wish was fufilled too.

She was still in disbelief after a few minutes, the aftermath of her wish fulfilled was just too much for her to absorb in such a short period of time. I did promise her when we were on the MRT back to Bedok, that I will give her something that will not let her sleep the whole night, and so I did.

It has come to a close. The day when 15 years ago, the cries of a child of God filled this world. Now the child has become a teenager, experimenting with different things this world has to offer.

Most importantly, he has truly experienced true happiness. Even though it was a short moment, it was a gratifying and glorious experience in his 15 years in life.

Yoh-Kun, I hope that this PSP, which is just a token of my appreciation of the friendship we had over the last 2 years keep you happy when you are sad, entertain you when you are bored. This gift is truly for you.

Love, Benny Boy.

God, 15 years ago, You brought me into this world. I, an insignificant child, did not know the true majesty of the world You created, but have at last, known what joy to a person is. I thank You God, for all the love and blessings You have showered on me every single time, for giving me such loving parents, caring siblings, and wonderful loyal friends I made, whom I have met. Let all in this world experience joy and love in their lifetimes, that they may know the beauty of men You created, Amen.
