When two become one
Your Truly's sister is getting out of the house of the Yeos officially on the 27th of October...Its good riddance.! MUAHAHAHA......NO ONE TO ORDER ME AROUND ANYMORE!
jokes aside...haha
Its kinda hard to bear the thought of my sister married. After spending 15 years with her, just seems weird, even more when she becomes a mother...lol...i pity the child :P
Anyway speaking of marriage, I seriously think that couples feel that marriage means, 'ok reached your destination. Courtship is over. Next phase of my life please....'
How wrong can they get.
Marriage does not signify the end of courtship. Everyday when we wake up to see the face of our spouse, a whole new day of possibilities await us. Why should we stop giving flowers, stop showing special love on Valentine's Day, stop going to the movies, have a date, and stop the spice when we get married?
Does marriage mean that all these should stop? I don't think so.
The love of a couple should never cease and our actions of love should not stop at marriage.
I think the main problem is that, once the kids come in, responsibilities start flooding in between career and family, and the idea of reviving that passion is out of the question.
No time?
You would have if you were not spending time in bars drinking with your workmates during men or ladies' night wouldn't you...?
Sadly, some couples get married, have a family, face financial and emotional problems and then say "I had enough, let's get a divorce"
Of course, more time should be devoted to your children. But husbands and wives, please please do keep that fire in your relationship burining and never stop to show your love.
Marriage is also a lifetime commitment where you give your life (er hem, thats metaphorically) to each other, spending each day together.
For those who are about to get married, here's a little something for you
(the following was adapted from my sis' blog from someone's blog, any term of copyright infringement will not be beared by the author)
Before Marriage:
Guy: Excellent! The day I've been waiting for has finally arrived. I can't wait!
Girl: Can I regret this decision/ take back my word?
Guy: No, you mustn't even think that!
Girl: Do you love me?
Guy: Of course!
Girl: Will you ever betray me?
Guy: No! How can you even think that?
Girl: Can you kiss me a bit/ for a while?
Guy: Of course! And not only "for a bit/ a while"!
Girl: Is it possible that you will hit (or abuse) me?
Guy: Never!
Girl: Can I trust you?
After Marriage...
Read upwards...
there you have it....
Final words from me....
Getting married is one thing, Staying married is another.
God bless!
